There's something so special about two people flying across state lines just to say yes to forever in the place that means the most to them. That's exactly what brought Ashley and Brandon, and their sweet baby girl Lottie, all the way from Ohio to the Fort Worth Stockyards. But this wasn't a typical session, this was a whole chapter written in one afternoon. A proposal, wedding day portraits, and a tiny family finding their forever, all wrapped into one unforgettable visit to Ashley's favorite corner of Fort Worth.

Fort Worth Stockyards-Where It All Began

Ashley had dreamed about the Stockyards long before Brandon ever proposed because the Stockyards hold a kind of romance you can't manufacture. It's nostalgic yet romantic and unapologetically Texas, so when Brandon started planning the proposal there was only one place that made sense.

A Wedding Without the Wait

Here's where their story takes the sweetest turn. Ashley and Brandon knew they wanted to elope, just the two of them (plus one very important small guest) making it official. And since they'd already made the trip out for the proposal, they asked if we could capture their wedding day look while they were in town, since their courthouse ceremony wouldn't have a photographer of its own. So that's exactly what we did. Same trip, with background from The Drover to a family owned farm, but now dressed for forever with Ashley in her gown.

And Then There Was Lottie

No love story is complete without every member of the family, and baby Lottie stole the show every chance she got. There's nothing quite like photographing a couple's love while their own little love sits right there beside them completely unaware she was witnessing her parents' whole world change in real time. She was, in every sense of the word, the sweetest.
