A Favorite Dallas Skyline View
Griggs Park in Dallas has always been one of Luke and Sawyer’s favorite spots in the city, making it the perfect backdrop for Luke to pop the question. Elevated on the hill with the Dallas skyline stretched behind them, he set up a moment that felt entirely authentic to their story. Sawyer arrived completely surprised, driven to the park by her friends without having any idea what was waiting for her at the top.
Overcoming Camera Nerves
Like most couples, Luke and Sawyer felt a little nervous once the camera came out after the initial surprise settled down. Instead of setting up static poses we relied on playful prompts and natural movement to break the ice. Shifting the focus onto how they interact normally made it easy for them to relax, connect with each other, and completely forget about the lens. Once they forget about the lens, then we could guide them into portraits that were a little more intentional.
Celebrating the Moment
From the excitement right after she said yes to quiet walks along the hillside, the rest of the session was pure joy. A meaningful spot, that skyline view, and two people finally relaxed enough to just be themselves. It all came together into a gallery full of real authentic memories.
