Projected Color Trends for 2027

When designing a wedding, color is everything. It sets the tone, shapes your floral arrangements, guides your bridal party look, and frames the visual narrative of your wedding gallery. As we look ahead to the 2027 wedding season, color palettes are shifting in a fun direction. Couples are moving away from monochromatic schemes and incorporating rich tones, organic greens, and multi-dimensional palettes.

Whether you love a  vibrant aesthetic or prefer a soft atmosphere, here is what's projected for 2027 color trends.

The Big Question: Has Pantone Announced the 2027 Color of the Year?

The short answer is not yet! The Pantone Color Institute traditionally announces its official Color of the Year in December immediately preceding the forecast year. However, design experts, major paint brands, and forecasting agencies are already painting a very clear picture of what 2027 will hold. The overwhelming consensus? Herbal greens, rich aubergines, and warm earthy neutrals are dominating the landscape.

Top Projected Color Trends for 2027

Here are four palette projections set to define the 2027 wedding season:

Herbal Celery, Soft Cream & Antique Gold

Driven by the rise of restorative green tones, this palette takes traditional sage and elevates it into something fresher and more luminous.

The Look: Think herbal greenery, soft cream linens, and subtle touches of vintage gold chandeliers.

The Vibe: Organic, serene, and elegant.

(My Personal Favorite) Deep Plum, Chocolate & Dusty Rose

For couples who love a rich fashion forward feel, deep purple infused browns and moody aubergines are making a massive statement for late 2026 into 2027.

The Look: Layered shades of plum velvet, deep fig accents, dusty rose florals, and dark wood textures.

The Vibe: Dramatic, cozy, cinematic, and oh so chic.

Butter Yellow, French Blue & Warm Ivory

Pastels are receiving an artistic upgrade in 2027. Rather than stark or childish pastels, these colors feature soft sun washed undertones.

The Look: Delicate French blue stationary, soft buttery yellow florals, and warm ivory draping.

The Vibe: Romantic, European inspired garden luxury.

Wasabi Green, Terracotta & Muted Blush

An unexpected yet artfully contrasting palette that blends earthy clay with botanical accents.

The Look: Saturated green stems, sculptural clay vases, and delicate blush ribbons.

The Vibe: High fashion, modern editorial, and full of texture.
