Proposal Season is Here: Matt & Bailey’s Romantic Fall Surprise at Lakeside Park
When Matt first reached out to me a month before the big day, he originally had his eye on Flippen Park in Dallas, Tx. But if you’re familiar with Highland Park spots during peak season, you know how busy Flippen Park can get. To give them a more intimate vibe, we shifted to Lakeside Park, which ultimately couldn’t have been a better choice.
The entire setup was a true family affair. Matt’s mom, dad, and siblings, along with good friends and Bailey’s sweet niece, all teamed up beforehand to help set the scene. They laid down the details, made sure everything was picture perfect, and then quietly tucked away into a parked car nearby, quietly waiting while Matt walked Bailey down to the water.
When Matt dropped to one knee Bailey was completely caught off guard. Her reaction was filled with pure surprise and effortless joy. After she said yes, the best part unfolded: the family and friends piled out of the car to reveal themselves. The second her sweet niece and their favorite people burst out of hiding to celebrate, Bailey was overcome with emotion and the whole moment became even more special.
For their gallery, they opted for our signature true to color editing style with a few 35mm instead of black and whites. We focused on keeping the autumnal greens and soft sunlight completely true to how the evening actually felt timeless and authentic to every real emotion captured.
