Honestly, skipping traditional ceremony coverage and opting strictly for an intentional portrait session is one of my favorite ways to slow time down. That was exactly the case with Haylee and David. They officially tied the knot earlier in the day at the courthouse, choosing to keep that sacred "I do" moment entirely to themselves. But while they opted out of having a camera in the courtroom, documenting their love in a way that felt cinematic, authentic, and completely them was non-negotiable.

To celebrate their fresh start as husband and wife, we headed to the Mandalay Canal and Venetian Terrace in Las Colinas. The European-inspired architecture, sweeping stone bridges, and calm waters gave us the ultimate backdrop to build a living photo capsule of their story. Floating through the cobblestone walkways felt like stepping straight out of North Texas and directly into a quiet Mediterranean escape.

Pure Portrait Magic

We spent our time leaning into the light, utilizing the dramatic arches and water reflections to add depth, dimension, and pure art into every frame. Unbothered by the rising heat, they leaned into the stillness of the afternoon. From gentle foreheads pressed together in the shade to candid bursts of laughter along the cobblestone, every second was a living testament to why portrait only sessions hit different.
