Why I Chose My Website’s Color Palette (And How It Reflects Your Wedding Day)
When I started designing my website, I knew I didn’t just want “pretty colors.” I wanted a palette that felt like a wedding day from the moment you land on the page, soft, romantic, and timeless. Every shade you see here was chosen with intention, to reflect the experience I want you to have both on your wedding day and in your photos.
Soft Neutrals That Feel Like Bridal Morning
They’re gentle on the eyes and let your story shine, just like a clean, beautiful space lets you be the focus of every image. Neutrals also age well. Just like a classic wedding gown, they don’t go out of style. I want your photos, and the space that represents them, to feel just as beautiful years from now as they do today.
Romantic Hues That Echo Florals & Golden Light
You’ll notice soft, romantic tones woven through the design. Shades that remind me of bridal bouquets, sunset portraits, and candlelit receptions. These touches of color are there to bring warmth and emotion, the same way florals and lighting do on a wedding day.
They’re not loud or overwhelming. Instead, they gently guide your eye and create a feeling of intimacy and romance.
Clean Contrast for Clarity & Calm
I also chose subtle contrast of darker text against lighter backgrounds so everything is easy to read and navigate. Weddings can feel busy and overwhelming; I wanted this space to feel like the opposite: calm, clear, and effortless. The clean lines and simple layout are intentional too. Just as I guide you through your wedding day so you never feel lost, I want you to feel guided as you move through my site. You should always know where to look and what to do next.
A Palette That Matches My Photography Style
My editing style is true to color with filmy touches, so it was important that my website colors didn’t clash with my images. Instead, they’re meant to frame them like a beautiful mat around a favorite print. The tones you see here are the same tones I’m drawn to in my work: soft skin tones, gentle highlights, and warm, romantic light. When you scroll through my site, I want it to feel like you’re already stepping into your gallery.
